At our masses on November 9 and 10, 2013, Fr. Chuck spoke regarding our parish financial crunch. In summary, Fr. Chuck said,
"As you may have noticed in the Annual Financial Report that we published on October 12, we project a budget deficit for Fiscal Year 2013-2014 of over $500,000.
I am here to ask for your assistance. Specifically that means your generosity. Concretely I ask you, and every family in our parish, to increase your monthly donation by $20. That comes out to not quite $5 a week.
We have over 2,000 families registered here in the parish. If every family contributes $20 a month more, it will just about wipe out our budget deficit. Some savings will be made by cutting programming and delaying repairs, but that will not generate a lot.
If you can do more that $20 more a month, please consider that. If you can give $20 a month more, we really need you to do that. If you cannot afford $20 more a month than please give what you can. It is most appreciated. And if you have been giving only sporadically or rarely, NOW is the time to become a regular contributing member of our parish community."
