Parishioners may borrow our Assisted Listening devices for use during liturgies. Talk to one of the priests or deacons a few minutes before Mass starts to borrow a device. We'll provide you with:
An audio receiver
A cable that fits around your neck
An earpiece (if needed optional)
To use ~
Plug one end of the cable into the top of the receiver.
Loop the cable around your neck.
Plug the other end of the cable into the receiver.
If you're using an earpiece from us ~
Plug the earpiece into the cable.
Put the earpiece on your ear.
Use the up and down buttons on the receiver to adjust the volume.
If you have a hearing aid that supports the Loop System, you will be able to use it instead of our earpiece ~
Loop the cable around your neck.
Enable the telecoil in your hearing aid - usually done with a button.
Your hearing aid will pick up the wireless signal from the cable.
If you don't know if your hearing aid supports this or how to turn it on, please contact your audiologist. Most hearing aids have a telecoil, but might not be enabled until your audiologist turns on the option.
Please return the device to a priest or deacon once the liturgy ends.
