Bishop Joe S. Vásquez commemorates the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a concelebrated Mass for Peace and Justice on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Parish, 1610 E 11th St., Austin. Bishop Vásquez will present the annual Drum Major for Justice Award to Patricia Macy.

Pat, as we know her at St. Austin, served our parish for over nine years as the Director of Social Justice Ministries. She's spearheaded charity, justice, ecumenical efforts, and advocacy ministry in various parts of Texas for decades serving at Christ the Good Shepherd in Spring, and St. John Vianney in Round Rock. Pat is a bright light in our parish for whom we give many thanks. We appreciate the great work she has done and continues to do!
