Leveling Up - March 14, 2023

Parish East:

Exteriors: Level 5 and 6 roofs are being prepped for topping slabs and are scheduled for pouring on Friday morning. East elevation brickwork is ongoing with the goal to complete by April 1. They will then “wash” the brick and work will then shift to placing Porcelanosa on the east stair tower.  Stucco work on the south façade is in progress as well, foam is installed and will be rasped shortly prior to the application of stucco. The burnished block is scheduled to be installed on the North façade this week, which will then allow Porcelanosa to be installed. After that, work can begin on the hardscape along 21st. The ribbon window for first-floor classrooms is scheduled for delivery and subsequent installation on April 3. The tall corner window at 21st and Guadalupe and the stair tower glass window are scheduled for delivery and subsequent installation on April 11. Storefront glass (alley-facing and courtyard windows) for 1st floor is in and will begin installation in the area behind the learning steps and progress around the rest of the first floor. 

Interiors: Power is being run from the main floor up through the 6th floor. The main mechanical shaft is now closed from floors 2-4. Expect level 5 to be closed up by end of the week. The small shaft is closed from levels 1-3 with work. In elevator 1 all rails are set. Elevator 2, all rails will be set by end of the week. Both elevator cars will then be constructed. Stair 1 is in the process of being installed with expected completion by end of next week. 
      Level 1: All ceiling grids should be in by end of the week and ready for inspections. 
      Level 2: wall in process of tape and floating, with tile work almost complete. 
      Level 3: Tape and float is I process, with tile work about to start. 
      Level 4: tile work to commence after level 3 work, with all exterior walls in place. 
      Level 5: In-wall inspections are scheduled for next Monday. Expect to close up the walls by March 29.

Parish West/Tower:
 
Framing of exterior walls has begun and all interior framing is also largely complete. Spray foam insulation for the level 5 ceilings is scheduled to be applied this Thursday. Sheathing will then be put in place for level 1 and will be followed by waterproofing activities. CMU that forms the concession area in the gym is complete. Still waiting for work to begin on the installation of west stairs that will service all levels of parish west. The east stairs of parish west (which only serve levels 1-3) are on schedule for placement in early to mid April. Plumbing rough-in work is about to start in the Concessions area.  Door frames are being installed in the locker room areas.
