There’s more opportunity for reflection in this prayer attributed to St. Teresa of Avila.
Since 1908, the people of St. Austin's have worked to bring God's Word and His Love to life through our prayers, in what we teach and learn, and with our service to others. We live out our mission inspired by the charisms of the Paulist Fathers who established our parish and have served it ever since. We reach out, bring peace, and seek unity in all we do. As we celebrate this Corpus Christi Sunday, we remember that we are called to be the body of Christ in our time and place.
As we give thanks and look forward, consider the many opportunities for engagement traditionally available in our community. Take a moment for reflection. In Austin we don't have to go too far before we see a bumper sticker or a t-shirt with Gandhi's call to "Be the change you wish to see in the world."
