”The Holy Spirit is truly transforming us, and through us he also wants to transform the world in which we live. Let us open the doors to the Spirit, let ourselves be guided by him, and allow God’s constant help to make us new men and women, inspired by the love of God which the Holy Spirit bestows on us! How beautiful it would be if each of you, every evening, could say: Today at school, at home, at work, guided by God, I showed a sign of love towards one of my friends, my parents, an older person! How beautiful!”

Celebrating Confirmation in 2022
May the Spirit Be with Them Always!
They've faced challenges of pandemic and instances of isolation at a time in their young lives when companionship of friends is so important. They've met obstacles and overcome them and now, armed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit, they go forth to live out our parish's mission and the Gospel.
Congratulations to all of our Confirmation students! We have celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation on February 27 and March 26. Thank you to our parents, our sponsors, and our Confirmation teachers Mrs. Madeline Miller and Mrs. Sally Doris! Here are our Confirmandi ~
Holy Spirit, Strengthen our St. Austin Parish Confirmandi with your gifts of Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety, and Fear of the Lord. As disciples of Christ, fill them with the joy of your presence. Increase in them the fruit of your Spirit. Help them to experience and trust your dwelling within, so that they may count on your guidance today and every day. We pray that you show us the way to help them become better disciples of Jesus Christ, bringing Your Love to life in this time and place. Amen.

Be 14 to 16, usually in 10th grade

More notes on faith formation:
We recommend that students attend Faith Formation classes in grades 8 and 9 and then move to the Confirmation Class in 10th grade. However, students are welcome to be confirmed in grades 11 and 12 after completing the two years of Faith Formation.
If you are a parishioner of St. Austin and your teen attends San Juan Diego, St. Dominic Savio, or St. Michael's, their two-year prerequisite is satisfied by their daily Theology class. Immediate preparation for Confirmation occurs at St. Austin in the semester preceding the celebration of Confirmation.
