Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP) is a copyrighted parish renewal process that has existed since 1969 and is recommended by the renewal office of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. It has been used as the primary instrument of personal and parish renewal in over 1,143 parishes in 35 states and in four other countries. All this has happened without the benefit of advertising and full time staff. We believe that if the Lord wants to use CRHP in a parish, He'll tell someone there who can take proper action.
Over the years, The CRHP National Office has worked hard to structure CRHP so that it to supports evangelization and integral growth of the parish. They have also worked not to become associated with any particular school of spirituality nor mode of prayer. CRHP is sacrament-based and uses much prayer, scripture and sharing.
CRHP has four parts:
- Experience a CRHP weekend
- Be a part of a team; go through formation
- Minister a CRHP weekend
- Search for the Lord's call to what is next
After someone completes four parts of the CRHP process, they ready for active parish life in the ministry that supports their faith, as they choose. Most parishioners experience a renewed realization of God's grace working in their lives and improves their outlook overall.
