Eligibility

St. Austin welcomes all couples eligible for marriage in the Catholic Church, whether you live in Austin or not.
If you worship at St. Austin or live in central Austin, we will guide you through the marriage preparation process. Depending on where you wish to celebrate thet marriage, we will either help you plan your wedding liturgy at St Austin's or prepare the paperwork for you to celebrate the marriage elsewhere.
If you live elsewhere and wish to celebrate your wedding at St. Austin, we will try to accommodate you if the church is available. You will need to complete the preparation for marriage in the Catholic Church at your local parish. If your parish is outside of the Diocese of Austin, your parish can help you obtain the necessary permissions to be married in our diocese.

Planning & Preparation Process

Preparation for your marriage should begin no later than six months in advance of your desired wedding date, and preferably nine months in advance.
1) Complete and Submit "Marriage Request Form"

If you will have the wedding at St Austin’s, review the wedding guidelines here

A priest will email you confirming permission to reserve the church.

Confirm the availabilty of your day and time with the wedding coordinator, then submit deposit.
2) Schedule initial meeting with a priest to discuss marriage preparation.
3) Complete Marraige Prepration

Requested Offerings & Fees

Wedding for Parishioners* - $1,750
Includes:
- Church for rehearsal & wedding
- Wedding Coordinator
- Organist & Cantor
- Parking Garage for Guests
- Marriage Preparation
*Also including children of active parishioners and former parishioners who moved away from Austin.
Wedding for Non-Parishioners - $2,500
Includes:
- All the Above, expect that marriage preparation must take place at your local parish.
Marriage Preparation for a Catholic Wedding elsewhere - $175
Includes:
- Fee for Prepare/Enrich and other handouts
