Our school and Faith Formation students (5th grade and above) under the direction of Samme Rogers, Art Teacher at St. Austin Catholic School, were joined by SACS alumni, parishioners, and community volunteers in creative fun to make our corner of the Drag a more beautiful place!
The design incorporates our earliest buildings on Guadalupe and a depiction of what we'll soon see on the busy corner of 21st and Guadalupe Street. Also featured are our community logo, oak trees, and the symbols of our patrons, St. Austin's acorn, St. Phoebe's scroll, St. Paul's sword, St. Mary of Magdala's jar of scented oil, and St. Peter's keys. Framed by roses, at the northern edge we see our school's proud mascot, the eagle. The images of three holy women, St. Phoebe, St. Mary of Magdala, and Our Lady of Guadalupe are set like jewels against the beautiful blue background.
Thank You!
The gift of your time and talent to this project makes a beautiful difference.
