A Light to Others

After 30 years of teaching young children, upon her retirement, St. Austin's has been fortunate to receive the gifts of Martha's time and talent. In this moment she is leading our BIG Move and attendant efforts, the Great Giveaway, the BIG Move It Sale, the Move into our new Ministry Center, and more.

That alone would merit recognition, but Martha's also served on both the Board of St. Austin Catholic School and our Parish Pastoral Council. She worked with our parish school as they developed a new primary curriculum. She's also active in the Martha Ministry, Prayer Blanket Ministry, and chairs our Christmas Bazaar. Fr. Chuck observed that Martha exemplifies the qualities the Lumen Gentium Award is meant to honor, she brings the light and love of the Gospel to all she encounters and to all that she does.
