Since its founding in 1882, the Knights of Columbus has offered ways to support fathers, both spiritually and financially. The Nation now honors fathers with a special day – Happy Father’s Day! On this day the family might take Dad or Grandpa to a restaurant or present him with a suitable gift. The Knights of Fr. E. Philip O’Hern Council 10776 are honoring fathers with a special Novena for Father’s Day. Each day of prayer includes these lines:
“Lord God, we thank You and praise You for the many ways You have blessed us, especially in the great gift that fathers are in our world. We ask You to pour out Your grace on all fathers as we prepare to celebrate Father’s Day.”
