From Fr. Chuck: A Hail Mary in Hard Times

When asked about his favorite image of Mary, our pastor recalled a church in the MidWest where Our Lady was portrayed as a farm wife in bas relief. He adjured the writer to avoid golden Madonnas richly adorned in yards of expensive fabric.

A parishioner shared this 2001 study that considers the effects of recitation of the Hail Mary on breathing, blood pressure and cerebral circulation. We make no endorsement or judgement on the science, but agree that it's interesting.
