May 9, 2016
May is the month of our Blessed Mother. When the Angel Gabriel appeared to her, his first words of “Be not afraid” opened the door of love to a poor unwed mother, the Mother of God.
The Gabriel Project ministry mission is to plant the seed of God’s love within the hearts of women who feel lost, alone and afraid – whether rich or poor, single, married, young or older. The need in an unplanned pregnancy is one of understanding and caring. We offer a resource network to support a mother’s birth alternative, the gift of life, to give hope for tomorrow.
During May, the Gabriel Project is holding a
drive to answer the call from mothers and families requesting help in a difficult time. The Gabriel Project sign and baby-gift-wrapped box will be located at the St. Joseph altar for donations. Please consider making a gift offering in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We graciously ask for donations of:
- Diapers sizes 3, 4 & 5
- Baby Wipes
- Gift Cards from HEB/Costco/Buy Buy Baby or Monetary Donations. These allow us to buy diapers, wipes & spiritual materials. Please place gift cards and monetary donations in an envelope marked for the Gabriel Project and drop in the offertory basket or take to the parish office.
If you feel called to join our dedicated team of Gabriel Project Angels, please contact parishioner Carmen Adams at 512-417-8309.
