Let It Begin with Me!

Tho’ the song is about peace, it could as easily be about kindness. As cases of COVID rise across the nation, at the local level we’ve been asked to make the sacrifices we know will flatten the curve. That’s hard news coming as we’d hoped to gather with family for Thanksgiving, but we can take consolation in the answer to our prayer for the development of an effective vaccine. We all have moments when we’re feeling stretched thin or brittle to the breaking point. We need to show ourselves a little kindness. Then care lovingly and with kindness for those we encounter each day, from essential workers to the drivers around you in traffic and, perhaps most challenging of all, to our nearest and dearest.
