News from Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Austin Parish

This week we had the privilege of working with the St. Vincent de Paul, District Office, to help one of
our neighbors pay off 3 payday loans. She took out the loans to help pay for her medical expenses, not
realizing that the high interest rate would prohibit her for paying off these loans for a long time to come.
She contacted us for help and our District Office was able to help her with their Payday Loan Payoff Program.

“I am so relieved and grateful to St. Vincent de Paul for relieving me of this terrible financial burden,”
said our neighbor. “Now I can get my life in order.”

Thanks to all of you who donate to our monthly Persons In Need collection, which enables us to help our
neighbors in need. And thanks to our SVDP Central Texas District for all the wonderful programs they
offer as well.
