And today, Friday, we observe the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. We remember that,
"[The Son of God] worked with human hands, He thought with a human mind, acted by human choice and loved with a human heart." - Gaudium et spes, no. 22
Pope Francis, in a Tweet from last June, observed,
“The #Beatitudes teach us that God, in order to give Himself to us, often chooses unthinkable paths, perhaps the path of our limitations, of our tears, of our defeats.”
This week’s eNews and features at StAustin.org offer paths to put flavor and zest into the world, to shine light, and to be more than ordinary. These are suggestions for action and reflection – and not at all as unthinkable as paths God chose in giving Himself to us.
