May you all have a relaxing and restorative time on Labor Day.
As I write this, I am expecting that the final signatures on the large development deal for our parish and school will occur on Wednesday, September 8, in the afternoon. This will be a most significant and important day in the history of our parish and school. I hope to give you an update (on our parish website) by next weekend.
Next Saturday is our annual Parish Pastoral Council retreat. It is a time to welcome new members to the PPC, and to plan and strategize for the coming year. The new members of the PPC are: Nancy Carrales, Julie Kocurek, and John Moellenberg. Congratulations!
Rolling off the PPC with the completion of their terms are Peter Soosay, Lloyd Bircher, and Charles Vernor. We thank them most heartedly for their service to our parish community during an important formative time for our future plans.
Continuing on the PPC are Alison Macor, Fernando Rodriguez, Mary Margaret Salls, Marian Barber, Billy Atkins, Janina Flores, Josie Barrett, Ray Mechler, and Kelly Bodu Tarrant. All these people bring a diversity of experience and talent to our Parish Pastoral Council, and they all share a desire to help and to work. We will have lots for them to do in the coming year.
At the retreat the new Chair, Vice-Chair, and Recorder will be elected for the coming year. If you have concerns, ideas, issues, or compliments you wish to share with the PPC, you can email them at [email protected], or speak to any PPC member. Your input is always welcome. Please stay tuned to our parish website for the latest news and developments on our ongoing Parish Pilgrimage.
